Mission

On our mission to help 1,000,000 people go full-time on YouTube - your role is to help catch the attention of people who need our help and lead them into our content.

You are obsessed with digital marketing and design trends. You want to always be on the cutting edge, testing out new styles and designs to see how they perform. You love the artistic part of what you do, but you also see the end goal to help drive sales, opt ins, and performance of videos and social media. You have a passion for catching people’s attention and helping them learn.

Details of the Role

  • Digital Marketing Graphic Designer
  • 20 hours per week
  • Your typical work hours will be between 9 AM and 5 PM PT, Monday-Friday
  • Remote position
  • All positions are open to United StatesĀ residents only

Competencies

  • Be aware of current marketing trends and styles
  • Having awareness of our brand style, current design trends and popular social media graphic design to curate posts
  • Basic editing of images and videos
  • Graphic design using Adobe Illustrator, Indesign and Photoshop
  • Understanding of basic digital marketing strategies
  • Awareness of leading digital marketers
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at once

 

Basic Tasks & Expectations

Team Involvement

  • Be on our full team meetings at 9 AM PST every Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
  • Attend weekly calendar meetings with the marketing team
  • Attend team leadership and relationship-building activities when possible

Social Media 

  • Stay on top of current trends in digital marketing and design
  • Create a weekly Instagram carousel post with copy from the marketing team
  • Create weekly quote cards to be posted on social media
  • Create other content that you think would perform well using your creative skills and knowledge
  • Create thumbnails for IGTVs

YouTube Videos

  • Assist the content creators in making YouTube video thumbnails. You will create a thumbnail for each video on both the Think Media and Think Media Podcast channels (about 7-8 videos in total). You will also create a square thumbnail of each video.
  • You may also create graphics to be a part of YouTube videos

Marketing Assets

  • Create media assets for courses including thumbnails
  • Create media assets for digital funnels including product photos,headline photos
  •  Create images for ads for our events, products and free resources
  • Create cover images for downloadables
  • Create graphic assets for our annual event Grow With Video Live
  • Create graphic assets for our quarterly challenge events

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and Indesign

 

Outcomes for 1st Quarter on the Job

  • You will train under Sean Cannell and other content creators to learn the best practices for creating YouTube video thumbnails.
  • You will work up to creating each of the 8 weekly thumbnails we need
  • You will work with the marketing team to learn the brand style
  • You will work up to creating content for regular social media posts

 

Grow Into

  • Influencing the brand style direction and helping Think Media’s brand evolve and improve

  • Click through rate of YouTube videos

  • Click through on graphic paid ads
